Spectroscope, Economy

Light entering the spectroscope is broken into its component colors by passing through a diffraction grating. Each student can assemble their own spectroscope and then compare a variety of different light sources such as incandescent, neon, and florescent tubes. The effects of transparent color filters can also be examined.
