Energy Transfer Apparatus
Product Description
The Energy Transfer Apparatus allows students to
compare the electrical energy input of a small electric
motor with the work done as it lifts various loads of
washers. Input is measured with an ammeter, voltmeter,
and watch. The amount of work performed is calculated
from the mass of washers used and the distance through
which they are raised.
Following the above analysis for a number of different
loads of washers, the efficiency of the system can be
determined and analyzed.
